What people are saying:

Let’s go, go to Tagong Grassland and look at the Yala Snow Mountain-the snow-capped grassland is connected to the grassland. The hillsides gather into snow-capped mountains. The Xiaohuanghua Tagong Grassland is full of mountains and the small yellow flower Tagong Grassland has a built observation deck, you can climb up the stairs, not far, You can also feel the fun of horseback riding. We are walking, there is a wild mountain road behind the inn, overgrown with weeds, steep and dangerous, but the moment we climbed to the top, the sun was warm, the breeze was gentle, and the mood was refreshing. ~ Walk, sit, lie down, and there is a grassy mountain in front of us. , Behind him is the entire Tagong County, with horse bells and jingle bells, the grass is astringent, the snow-capped mountains are pure, and the heart is vast! Tagong Grassland is located in Tagong Town, Kangding City, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The altitude is about 3700. Friends who are traveling with you are a little bit high-reverse, but not serious. You can prepare high-reaction drugs according to your own situation. The entrance is connected with Muya Jin Pagoda and Jin Pago Snow Mountain, which is a great angle of shooting. The Tagong Temple is also not far away. It will be there after a few minutes of walking. You can go and take a look around the prayer wheel. Very quiet and clean~

We hired a private car which meant we could take a road between Kangding and Tagong that isn’t accessible to larger vehicles. The road passes Kangding airport, and is a real flavour of the Tibetan gra...

    Magnificent Scenery

The Tagong Grasslands are magnificent. Easy to walk up, but you will be breathless due to the altitude. Great views and yaks as companions.

Additional Information

The Lhagang Grassland is located on the northwestern side of Kangding City, stretching to either side of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. In Tibetan language, "Lhagang" means "favorite place of the Buddha." Sites worth visiting on the grasslands include the Pel Lhagong Gompa and Muya Golden Pagoda. The brilliant green grassland is dotted with herdsmen's tents. It is one of the most harmonious and beautiful plateaus in the Tibetan plains. The Lhagang Grassland is dominated by the towering Yala Glacier. On the grasslands, the most popular place to visit is the Muya Golden Pagoda. Traditional horse races are held every year on the Lhagang Grassland. Local herdsmen dress in festive costumes and gather together from all directions to celebrate the holidays in traditional fashion.
