Kaihalulu (Red Sand) Beach

Our group arrived at the Red Beach on foot. It is not clear why it is called Red Beach, but it feels a good beach. In fact, it is convenient to walk all the way by referring to the map, and the distance is not far, especially when there are few tourists.

The Red Beach needs to be reached on foot. Because of this, there are obviously fewer tourists, but the effort pays off. When I arrived here, I was really intoxicated by the beautiful scenery.

Hana Highway Three: Red Beach-There are two red sand beaches in the world, one is in Santorini, Greece, and the other is here. The beach is relatively narrow and isolated from the rest of the world. It is definitely not an exaggeration to call it the most difficult to reach beach. We touched the rocks, stepped on the gravel, and climbed along the edge of the mountain to reach the beach. It is said that all these factors make it an ideal place for people to enjoy naked sunbathing, but we didn’t see [sneer laugh] Popular science suddenly [呲牙]The rust color of the red beach shows that the sand contains high iron oxide, which is formed by the erosion of an inland volcanic slag cone. With every wave of great impact brought by the Pacific Ocean, the rust-colored sand takes on a thicker reddish brown under the influence of the sea.

The beautiful beach is protected by huge cliffs and natural rock walls. Some advice: Be careful. On the day we went to the beach, when a couple fell on the beach, they got a little bit injured (luckily, they were fine!). Also avoid climbing on the big rocks and cliffs on the left side of the beach because there are scattered sea urchins. However, before you stroll along the curved sandy beach to the beach, there are some cliffs (only 5 meters 7 meters drop), be careful of tides and waves, because you have to climb out of the smooth rocks. Great beach!

Hana’s Kaihalulu Beach (often called Red Sand Beach) is one of the purest gems in the state of Hawaii, but it is not particularly easy to find. Take the trail, from behind the grass to the rocky beach, you'd better wear special shoes.
