There are only two tourist core areas in Kingston. One is the city hall with the Kingston sign nearby, and the other is Queen’s University in the suburbs. These two places will take half a day to travel.
This building was built in 1846 as part of the naval fortifications of the Kingston Port built by the Imperial government during the Oregon Crisis of 1845-46. This is one of the last fortifications built by the British colonies in North America. As a regular military barracks, it was not fully armed until 1862. But after 1849, due to the rapid development of offensive military technology, it has become obsolete.
Chasing the mark of history-Murney Tower National Historic Site I came to Kingston because of a movie, and I became interested in Materota. Each tower in Kingston has its own characteristics. Murney Tower National Historic Site is very close to the waterfront park, and you can watch the national flag here. Defensive Tower Cannon We strolled along King’s Avenue and walked to the west for about ten minutes before we came to the Heritage Park. This place is very interesting by the sea and the surrounding environment is very good. There is a special trail by the sea. If you are tired from playing, you can sit on the benches to rest and enjoy the scenery. When we traveled around, we would find a tower here with white walls and red bricks. The top of the tower is pointed. Go in and see the ticket for only $5. This tower lets everyone understand how Canada was defended in the past. The defensive tower has three floors. On the highest floor, you can see the fort and many beautiful views. Everything here is imprinted with history. The cannon was also used at that time. This small tower was designed for local residents. This is a place worth seeing. The staff is very friendly. Reminders: 1. You can travel by car, and there is a parking lot near the tower. 2. The seaside is very suitable for taking pictures. Remember to shape it and bring a camera.
Go to Murney Tower National Historic Site. Morni Tower was once an important defensive structure in Kingston. It was a circular fortress on the bank of the St. Lawrence River, built in 1846.
