About Kinmen

Kinmen, or Golden Gate, County is made up of more than a dozen islands. It is opposite to Xiamen and has earned the reputation of “the park on the sea” because of its fine and beautiful natural landscape. At present, Kinmen has left behind the flames and smoke of its old battlefields and become a tourist attraction. Juguang Tower and Zhaishan Tunnel have become symbols of that past time. The pace of life in Kinmen is slow and unassuming. There are towns, ancient tombs, delicious food, military history and some artwork. Kinmen is a place where you can never have too much fun no matter how many times you visit.

The Shuguang Building was built by the Golden Gate Defense Commander Hu Wei. The three-storey antique kylin cabinet designed by the famous architect Shen Xuehai is superb and very imposing. The Shuguang Building is used to recognize the heroic deeds of the soldiers and is a symbol of the spirit of the Golden Gate Battlefield. For more than 50 years, Shuguang Building has become a symbol of Kinmen. On the top floor of the Shuguang Building, you can see the panoramic view of Houpu and the tide of the Lancang River. You can see the scenery of Jiangongyu, Liyu and the mainland.

Historical Site
Lushan Hang Road is located in the belly of the southeastern part of Gugang Lake, Gugang Village, Jincheng Town, Jinmen County, Taiwan. It is divided into two parts: the tunnel and the waterway. The tunnels are all excavated by artificial one-to-one axe. The project is majestic; the waterway is used for landing boats to catch up with the beach, and there are docks in the pit. It can accommodate many small boats and stop the waves. The waves outside the tunnel are beautiful.
