King's New Square has a history of more than 400 years. It can be said to be the heart of Copenhagen and a popular leisure square. It is also the only place to pass from the pedestrian street to Newport, surrounded by beautiful buildings. The oldest building around the square is the Charlottenburg Palace, which is named after the Queen of King Christian V, Charlotte Amalie (Charlotte Amalie). She herself has lived here. This is a Dutch Baroque building from the 1770s. Today, this beautiful palace is the Royal Academy of Art, where there are many educational facilities for the training of future painters, sculptors and architects. In the sunny summer, there are quite a lot of tourists and locals on the square, as well as handsome men and women riding bicycles. There will be a small market in summer. The stalls are filled with works and antiques designed and created by the artists themselves. There are exquisite old-style cameras, lovely glass products, beautiful ceramic tableware... In short, it is full of romance and Literary atmosphere.
