Statue/Sculpture
Address: Hafenstrasse, Konstanz, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany

What people are saying:

The statue of Imperia in Konstanz is a very distinctive statue on Lake Constance. Legend has it that this is a goddess in a German folktale. He holds a king and a queen in his hands. Although he doesn't understand its meaning, it feels very different. It is also an iconic building on the shore of Lake Constance and it is worth coming to appreciate it.

    Impressive Imperia

Imperia holds the king in one hand and the pope in the other. So I am told. But to me the pope looks like the devil. A coincidence? I whish there was more information about the old history behind this...

    Exquisitely modern and historical.

Although the statue is not huge, it commands the harbor with its turning and gives the feel of a modern colossal of Konstanz. Truly fascinating.

    Something Different

Peter Lenk does some really strange but interesting statues. This is right in Konstanz harbor and is certainly an eye catcher.

    Impressive statue with a meaning

The Imperia is a satirical allusion to the Council of Constance (1414-1418) when prostitution flourished. The statue is a sparsely dressed woman, a courtesan, holding two naked male figures, one with ...

Impressive statue with an interesting story

When you read the history behind the statue, you can't help being impressed. The only drawback are the stupid locks that idiots seem to have to hang on every bridge, etc. they find.
