Theres a charisma that only kota kinabalo has that keeps you wanting to come back again and again. A paradise for nature and adventur enthusiast.
Such a wonderful place to visit with superb views all over the place and variety of foods (and its cheap!!)
KK is a nice smaller city with the main part of town walkable and other destinations easy by Grab. Three main attractions to prepare for are island hopping, Mount Kinabalu and the Borneo Rail. The night market boasts lots of street food and afterwards a walk through the shopping stalls across the street north of Le Meridien hotel. Otherwise, seafood restaurants are abundant and absurdly affordable. Not a foodie paradise like Penang, but def has got a few gems here. Hints: The basement of the City Centre mall has many delicious choices for Nasi Kandar for lunch. Especially on the weekend where one stall has tiger prawns and crabs on the cheap cheap. Sunsets on the top floor of Le Meridien is recommended.
1. If you don't rent wifi, buy a telephone card (airport 7-day card 25 Ma Yuan), hot spot 7-day tour, 2 people are enough, and easy to call back home; 2. Youbu International Edition is not necessary to have a local mobile phone number, but must be downloaded and installed with Apple devices to be available, mobile phones are Android (Samsung, Huawei have tried with local numbers, fail, can not receive validation text messages in time, can not take a taxi). It's just with the Apple tablet that you can use Youbu, which is a little cheaper than taxi. Airport to Magellan Hotel 2.75 yuan. However, the local number is convenient to contact the driver's meeting place. 3. Stay in the hotel around Magellan dock and suggest that you take a 15-minute boat ride to reach three islands with high degree of freedom. You buy two island tickets. Because of the weather, you return to the dock and refund part of the second island's 15 Ma yuan. 4. When the water project arrives, you want to play with a towing umbrella, but because of the weather, only two people are allowed to sit in the project. The underwater motorcycle 250 Ma Yuan will record about 2 minutes of video CD-ROM for the guests. But these are all better than because you go to the island by boat and rent a $3o snorkeling tool. The staff of the shipping company on the island will swim out of the buoy one by one and see a wide variety of marine life. They will also dive deep to help you get underwater enjoyment (maybe because only our mother and daughter do not follow the regiment on the island on Saturdays). The team will leave the island at 3:30, and the latest passengers to and from the island will be 5:00, however. Employees will return to Yabe at 4:30, and we will leave at 4:30. The island is unusually quiet 5. Except for two buffet dinners delivered by the hotel, you eat seafood 4 nights a day in the urban area of Youbu. Turn around the building where Daguelai Restaurant is located. There are four directions: Fuyuan Dessert (beside stall vendors can buy straw hats), SPA, Seafood Restaurant (strongly recommended, newly opened, cost-effective and environment are too good to go twice). Here, the two-day, Pacific and so on are very close. 6. Exchange of foreign exchange is not too much different. The airport is 1000 RMB 620, and there are more than 10 yuan left in the urban area. With the right horse currency, the airport exchange is completely feasible. 7. It rains when the rain says, so it's more convenient to take raingear with you. Otherwise, it would be impossible to buy an umbrella without heavy rain.
Prelude - "This is a long-awaited journey, although I had gastroenteritis two days before departure, I still couldn't resist the excitement of my trip. It was another experience to cover my stomach on the plane. On August 3, 2017, I took off from Pudong Airport in Shanghai on time. At first, I thought that Yabi was called Yabi until I heard the airport broadcast - "Passengers to Kota Kinabalu please. Attention." I still chuckled (snickering) Malaysia, Sabah, Yabe, Kapal, we're here. This trip was all done by the other half of my family, so I just packed up and left. At 11 p.m. local time, we arrived at Yabya International Airport. The Malaysian driver who picked up the plane arrived a little later. We waited for him at Hotlink near the airport. In the evening, the streets of Yabi were very quiet. Our car drove very fast and we arrived at the Hotel Capital, Kyoto Hotel where we stayed. It's convenient for us to check in at the front desk with our passport. Attached are some hotel maps, which are clean and comfortable (our hotel does not provide toothpaste toothbrushes, which we thought would be provided by the hotel before we went out, and we were embarrassed all night and went to the convenience store to buy toothpaste toothbrushes when we got up early for breakfast the next day. So relatives should take dental gear in case they go out.) We stayed in Yabi for two days. Although I had gastroenteritis and still took medicine, my heart was still eating as usual. I've tasted all the other delicacies except forbidding crabs. Now we recommend three restaurants, Yifeng Teahouse, Huaxing Seafood Building and Furong Seafood Village. It's really delicious. Yifeng's double salad tea, dusty noodles, miscellaneous beef soup powder and casserole chicken are all very distinctive, tasty and cheap. The Huaxing Seafood Tower has a large pavilion and a large area of seafood can be selected by themselves in the aquarium on the left. We ate Malay scenery (hollow cabbage), tiger shrimp, honey chicken, and ordered specialty coconut. The special Malay sauce they put in the hollow cabbage tastes a little spicy but I can accept it. It's delicious. Honey chicken tastes perfect except for the slightly old meat. The shrimp is big and tender. I don't eat much but I'm addicted to it.
One of the biggest reasons I like Yabe very much is that there are so many delicious foods that I feel too late to eat every day. Big eggplant and two-day seafood, you remember the meat and bone tea, Yifeng noodles and pull tea, rich source of coconut pudding, and durian stick ice everywhere! And the price is really beautiful, a place to eat. In addition, the local people are really friendly, the businessmen are honest, and the prices will not vary too much. It's also a good experience to go scuba diving, and sunset is the most beautiful memory!
Yabe, known as KK, is the third and current capital of Sabah, Malaysia. Asia-Bissau is the capital of Malaysia, which is mainly Chinese. It is a popular Hakka dialect. Yabi is said to mean "fire" in Malay. Yabi has been visited many times by the God of fire, which is called the city of fire. The last fire in Kobe was set on the ground by Japanese soldiers during World War II. Kota Malay means city, while Kinabalu means Shenshan. There are excellent sunshine and beaches, as divers have not yet come here is close to crazy, think about the sea will soon see a variety of fish and coral in various forms. Apart from diving, parachutes play again and again until they get tired of it. Tired of playing, I went back to the hotel with invincible seascape room. The bed was so hot and soft that I slept well and waited for dinner. This is the right holiday.
