Sarawak Cultural Village

ClaudioSeFor some it is a tourist trap, because of the show and the price (50MYR admission). On the other hand, everything is very well organized and it is an excellent place to get an ideal of traditional Sarawak living, if you can't or want to travel far to experience an home stay.
Cat Museum

Jyotsna RamaniCat museum is an awesome place to go to spend an hour or so in Kuching. Kuching stands for cat in bahasa Malay so its no wonder this city has so many fun cat statues and well this museum. The museum is flocked with anything and everything to do with..well, cats - movie posters, paintings, cat proverbs, souvenirs, statues and SO much cat trivia. Oh and entry is free so def worth a visit :)

E27***58The location is amazing. Directly at the beach. Behind the hotel is a national park and the cultural village. The staff is very polite, food is good. Even the hotel is a bit old, the atmosphere is outstanding. Rooms are clean.

兰色白勺犭苗Marguerite Castle ~ right next to the Legislative Assembly Building. Grab is not easy to call a car when leaving! We took a boat to the north bank of the Sarawak River, passed a small village and an abandoned school, and we could see it! After two years of maintenance, the exterior wall has been completely renewed. This is an important barrier against pirate invasion. During World War II, the Japanese tried to blow it up but failed. It has now been converted into a police museum.
