Fort Margherita

Margari Castle ～ is right next to the Legislative Assembly Building. Grab is not very good when leaving! We took a boat to the north bank of the Sarawak River, through a small village and abandoned school, you can see! After two years of maintenance, the exterior wall has been completely new. It is a major barrier against pirate invasion, which the Japanese tried to blow up during World War II but failed to succeed. It has now been converted into a police museum.

A small castle, just beside the Parliament House across the river, take the small ferry 1rm and walk for about 10 minutes. It takes 45 minutes to walk through a forest garden by detour to walk through the bridge (estimated because of the maintenance of the Parliament House, it is very far), or the ferry is convenient. Tickets are MYR 20, which is a museum. People who like history can go in and see, and the introduction is more detailed.

Not far from the riverside, flower RM1/person can cross the river to visit the castle, or you can walk a little far to the bridge across the opposite side to the castle (it is recommended to take the ferry, save time and have no fun). The castle visit fee is RM20 per person, equivalent to RMB33, the historical interest is still very strong, if the English is good and the history is very strong, friends who have a lot of history can go in and spend some time reading the story, because only Malay and English interpretation. The white Margherita Fort, built in 1879 on the banks of the Sarawak River, was once the Brooke kingdom's fort in Kuching. With a mix of tropical architecture and British palaces, this magnificent fort on top of a hill was built in preparation to fight the local people from entering the city of Kuching via the river road.
