0 yuan! Golden Horse and Jade Rooster|Kunming landmark + symbol, must check-in
To avoid the cold, I flew from the north to the south and spent the Spring Festival warmly in various places in Yunnan.
The Golden Horse and Jade Rooster, built during the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty, has a history of more than 400 years. It is composed of two archways, the Golden Horse Archway and the Jade Rooster Archway. The east archway is named the Golden Horse Archway because it faces the Golden Horse Mountain, and the west archway is named the Jade Rooster Archway because it is near the Jade Rooster Mountain. The archway is 12 meters high and 18 meters wide, with carved beams and painted buildings, exquisite and unparalleled. It is a landmark and symbol of Kunming, Yunnan.
When the sun is about to set, the afterglow shines on the Jade Rooster Archway from the west, and its reflection is cast on the street on the east side; at the same time, the moon just rises from the east, and the silver light shines on the Golden Horse Archway, casting its reflection on the west side street. The shadows of the two archways gradually move closer and finally intersect each other.
Due to the angle relationship of the rotation of the earth, moon, and sun, such a landscape appears once every 60 years. It is said that this spectacle appeared once during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty.
The two archways are about tens of meters apart, both are gate-style wooden archways, with flying eaves and corners, standing together with the Loyalty and Love Archway, forming a "品" character three archways. After the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster archways were built, they were repeatedly destroyed by wars or man-made destruction, and were rebuilt many times. The current Golden Horse and Jade Rooster were rebuilt in 1998 at the original site in the original style.

The two archways of Golden Horse and Bijifang, which were built in the Ming Dynasty, are called Golden Horsefang on the east side and the Golden Horse Mountain on the west side. The two archways stand side by side, and they are made of carved beams and paintings. It is said that every year of the Jiazi will appear once the golden and blue year, (that is, the sun rises and the shadow of the green chicken shop moves to the golden horse, and the moon 🌜 the shadow of the golden horse moves to the green chicken). For the modern day of our light, we can often see the scene of the golden and blue intersection ~
