coo***anWe are honored to invite a naval officer to show us around and explain all the exhibits. Throughout the visit, Lieutenant Gonzalez has been our guide. She knows the history of El Salvador and the history of the army very well. Everyone we met seemed very happy that we chose to visit, and everyone was proud of the museum there. If you are really interested in learning about the history of El Salvador, I strongly recommend that you use it as one of your stops.
coo***anWe are not sure whether to go in, but we are very happy. There are two museums, one is the Pottery Museum (with examples dating back to 3000 years), and the other is the Museum of Nicaraguan Currency History. Both are very interesting. We were taken away by an English-speaking tour guide who must know what he was talking about. We can't believe how interesting the history of money is. We spent a total of 8 dollars to enter these two museums, which is very good value for money. Our guide was so nice, we gave us a $10 tip for four of us, and then stayed for coffee. If you are passing by and have an hour of free time, it is worth a visit.
_We***90This plaza is ubicated at the center of the capital. The main attraction is the statue that is there in honor of Gerardo Barrios president. It is a popular place to visit because it is surrounded by the National Palace and the metropolitan cathedral. Now is more safe to visit it
_We***90If you love to walk and the fresh air you definitely will love this place. You can enjoy one of the best tours and places from El Salvador. Here you can even find a hotel this is a famous park this country has and it has one of the longest place to be in contact with the nature. You can visit two more volcanos in the same park the Santa Ana volcano and the Izalco volcano. You can camp or rent one of the huts they have available. Great experience. You won't misss anything.
_We***90Good place and great weather. You can always enjoy fresh seafood. You can even swim on the lake or enjoy a sunny day. By having lunch on any of the restaurants that you can find there. Beautiful place.
金蛋的旅程El Salvador has several tourist attractions in this country, including famous surfing mecca. Only 40 kilometers away from the capital San Salvador is El Tunco, the "surfing capital". It is very safe, with golden beaches, uncut cliffs, emerald-like rivers, and small bays dotted with black sand and volcanic rocks. The prices are very cheap, and many people come here to learn surfing.

From the moment I stepped foot on land in El Salvador, I felt at ease. I drove around the country and only came across beautiful, warmed-hearted people. The drive to the hotel was around 1 hour but it was scenic and pleasurable. I would also recommend staying in El Tunco which is a surfer town (a bit "touristy" but had a cool vibe). I was out at all sorts of hours of the night and I felt safe.
I recommend renting a car so you can have the freedom to drive around and see places outside of the hotel. This is especially helpful if you are short on time! There are several activities you can do so you will definitely have things to keep you busy.
The food in El Salvador is wonderful so please be sure to keep an empty stomach to try it! They use the US dollar as their main form of currency so keep this in mind. My time in El Salvador was amazing and I am already dreaming of when I can return!
