Met Hotel - Luxury in La Paz 🇧🇴
Met hotel is located in the south zone of La Paz which is an affluent area, full of nice bars and cafes. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the beginning of the green line cable car.
The customer service is amazing! They are happy to help with any requests or questions such as preparing an early breakfast box for you or organising a taxi.
On the lower level is a beautiful and warm swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna whilst the rooftop has a lovely seating area with an incredible view of the local area.
If a couple days of luxury is what you need after a week trekking around Bolivia then Met hotel is definitely worth a look 👀

Mirador Killi Killi Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
If you want to find a flat land in La Paz, it may be difficult. In addition to several football fields in the city, this valley surrounded by mountains has become the center of the city. The surrounding hillsides are all residential houses, and the airport is several kilometers away from the top of the mountain. High, if you take a taxi from the city center to the airport, it is basically a brain uphill. When you reach the top of the mountain, it is not far from the airport. The taxis in La Paz generally say the price in advance, as tourists or foreigners, being slaughtered is definitely.
I climbed the Killi Killi observation deck and watched the sunrise three times until I left La Paz. I realized my strong willpower, and the morning was holding on to the tempting drowsiness and the biting wind. With all the camera lens tripods on the back, it is really a crash to climb the mountain on the plateau with the suitcase with the drone. However, it is almost impossible to fly a drone in a crowded city of La Paz, and the Killi Killi Observation Deck is the best choice. It is also the best place to watch the snowy mountains on the east side of the city.
City cable car, this must be recommended, every time 3 Boliviano's fare is very conscience, La Paz has a total of three cable car lines, usually from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the valley, and then from the bottom to the other mountain, you I can see everything in the city of La Paz on the cable car. I even took the cable car for the cable car. At most once I bought six tickets and took the entire cable car.

Witch doctor, magic, potion, welcome to the Bolivian witch market
The witch market is a street in the capital of Bolivia, La Paz. Sanmao once described her interesting experience of buying trinkets in the witch market in her book 'Traveling through Thousands of Waters and Mountains'.
Out of curiosity, we went straight to the witch market when we arrived in La Paz. Fortunately, we were not disappointed.
The witch market has now declined, and most shops are selling more tourist souvenirs. Only a few shops still hang animal carcasses at the door, displaying various witchcraft tools, amulets, mascots, herbs, etc., with all kinds of strange effects.
It is said that burying the dried carcass of a naturally aborted alpaca in the foundation of a house can pray for good luck; while dried frogs can seek wealth.
In the witch market, you will also encounter witch doctors. They are easy to recognize, with black hats on their heads and coca bags on their chests, which are typical images of witch doctors. We don't understand Spanish and didn't go to find a witch doctor, but we also saw the process of local people asking questions.
Magic is far away from us, but for Bolivians, choosing witchcraft tools is as casual as buying vegetables. The buyer and seller do not need too much language, it seems that everyone understands witchcraft.
The interesting thing about the witch market is that the locals bring the magic in the legend into reality. They are here to find a panacea, to seek wealth, to seek love, and to seek immortality.
Address: Mercado de las Brujas, La Paz, Bolivia
It is recommended to take a car to the witch market first, and then walk downhill to the Church of St. Francis to avoid climbing uphill in high-altitude areas, which is too tiring!
