What people are saying:

The Uppsala Glacier is a very famous large glacier in Argentina. There are jagged ice peaks here, and, among the white, light blue faintly appears, which is very dreamy. Everyone can choose to take a helicopter tour, or on foot, both are very beautiful.

Huge mass of ice slowly melting

Don't miss a visit to this glacier which may not be here in 20 years. The visit by boat includes seeing many beautifully shaped icebergs that have calved off.

    Worth it!

Worth the rough boat ride, the glacial winds that literally knock you down, and the 4x4 trek to see this beauty up close!

    too far to see anything

Argentina passed a regulation that boats can not get closer than a couple of MILES from Upsala glacier, due to safety concerns (falling ice can cause large waves). While this makes sense, you no long...

    Accessible Only by Boat

I was not particularly excited by the catamaran cruise to Perito Moreno Glacier because the views were gorgeous from the walkways (and it was freezing and rainy on the boat cruise). But, the trip to ...

    It is disappearing

A big disappointment, it is receding and the boat couldn’t get anywhere near it. You see it from afar. The fog didn’t help.
