Le Havre Cathedral Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Cathedral in Havre is, probably, the most interesting concept of rethinking of what is cathedral - it has so little in common with what we usually depictbas church. It was built in the mud 70-80 of XX century and was a part of the reconstruction of the city which was heavily demolished by war, at the place where this cathedral stands it was a usual cathedral but it was ruined during the world ear so government decided to build the new one.

Le Havre port city
Le Havre is a major port city in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region of northern France. It is situated on the right bank of the estuary of the river Seine on the Channel southwest of the Pays de Caux, very close to the Prime Meridian.
The name Le Havre means "the harbour" or "the port". Its inhabitants are known as Havrais or Havraises.
In 2005, UNESCO inscribed the central city of Le Havre as a World Heritage Site because of its unique post-WWII reconstruction and architecture. The André Malraux Modern Art Museum is the second of France for the number of impressionist paintings. The city has been awarded two flowers by the National Council of Towns and Villages in Bloom in the Competition of cities and villages in Bloom.
