About Lichuan: Lichuan is situated in the southwest of Hubei province near the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. The area has a rich history as well as spectacular, varied scenery. The world famous Tenglong Cave is located 6 km northeast of the city. Lichuan is also home to a number of well-preserved ancient villages inhabited by the Tujia people. This include Yumu village, which contains ancient tombs, stone inscriptions and gates. Over 100 Tujia people still live here, making the village an excellent place to experience traditional Tujia culture. Other attractions include the Qing dynasty village of Shuijing, an ancient dawn redwood tree, Sumadang Resort and Qiyue Mountain.
