Xijindu is a place rich in ancient culture which is located in Zhenjiang city, China. It attracts hundreds if not thousands of people every that go there to experience the rich culture. After visiting the Zhenjiang Museum, you come out to the Xijindu Ancient Street, which is the "context" of the historical and cultural city of Zhenjiang. Xijindu Ancient Street was founded during the Six Dynasties period and has been developed through the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, preserving a large number of historical traces to this day. Climbing up the plank road, you will encounter Guanyin Cave, Zhao Guan Stone Pagoda, Life Saving Society, 'A Glimpse of a Thousand Years'... until you reach the Yuntai Pavilion at the mountain top. At the foot of the mountain is the antique street with its grey tiles and green bricks, historical buildings, former residences of famous people, dining delicacies, cultural creativity... and the 'Fifty-Three Stations' mural on the wall. The romantic sentiment in the poet's eyes, the perilous riverside in the warrior's eyes, the deep historical roots in the traveler's eyes... everyone sees a different Xijindu.

Xijin Ferry, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, is located at the foot of Yuntai Mountain to the west of Zhenjiang city, and is a historical relic built along the Poshan plank road. Xijin Ferry's ancient street is the area where the most, most concentrated, and best-preserved cultural relics and historical sites in Zhenjiang are located. Xijindu, different by day and night, just a slight climb up the hill allows one to overlook most of the district, with its beautifully arranged houses. The ruts on the stone-paved road tell stories of the past, and at the end of the ruts, life continues as it is today. It's raining today, a bit cold, and there are few tourists, with most shops not open. Perhaps that's why I love this place. The closed shops either have retro wooden doors or quiet and beautiful facades. If the weather were good and there were many tourists, it would probably be no different from Lijiang or Zhouzhuang. Although the weather is not good, I like the set of photos I took; the wet alleys have a certain feel to them. The advantage of the off-tourist season is the absence of people, but the shops close early too, and because of this, I walked into an exceptionally quiet Xijindu. Slowly feeling the accumulation and changes over a thousand years. The deserted Xijindu at night is too beautiful, so beautiful that I don't want to leave, wanting to keep walking like this, into the stories of its generations.
