Photos of Dragon Bridge

The Dragon Bridge was built in 1901 and spans the Ljubljana River. It takes only 5 minutes to walk back and forth, but it is a landmark building in Ljubljana. The very wonderful decoration of the Dragon Bridge is the four bronze pterosaurs sculptured at both ends of the bridge. The whole shape is the image of the western cartoon story with its teeth, claws, and fire breathing. Most of the dolls, T-shirts and postcards sold in the street shops are Its image, which today almost represents Ljubljana.
