At 3726m, Mount Rinjani is the second highest volcano in Indonesia, second only to Mount Kerinci on Sumatra Island. It dominates the landscape of the relatively small island of Lombok. The attraction is hugely popular among hikers who climb up to watch the sunrise from the rim at the summit, which also looks over a lake inside the enormous crater. It is a three day journey that will push your body and mind to your limits, but you will definitely be rewarded with magnificent views.
