Hare and Hounds

We all enjoyed the meal very very much. Food were really good and the service was great too. We will be back again for sure!

Let me be clear. I am a Yank who has spent years on the road as a travelling account manager. I have eaten at hundreds of American diners across the US. I was hoping for that experience here but got no such luck. Now, don&#39;t get me wrong. This place is nice enough and the food and service are decent. But this is not an American diner, even though it is owned by US raised owners. I suspect the owners skewed the offerings towards British taste. Good enough, but no American bullseye here.An example, if you care. I ordered a cherry Coke. Coca-Cola manufactures cherry Coke these days (at least in the US). What I got was a bottle of Coke with an ice-filled glass with a splash of cherry syrup. Quaint if you want a 1950&#39;s style US soda stand experience. But this is the 21st century. Come on man!

Whenever we visit London we make a point of stopping over for dinner at Valentina&#39;s. A lovely family run place with delicious home made pasta main courses and amazing puddings. Great attentive service too.

I love the Crossing! I must ho more often. Interesting Italian slanted menu, super new pizza oven, amazing desserts, superb and varied wine list. Great fun &amp; friendly staff (lovely locals too and we&rsquo;re not, but feel at home). Stylish decor, fantastic garden. It&rsquo;s my favourite SW London pub now. Keep it up, and the offers, and the Quiz Nights (only went once but such a great crowd!).
