Has a table booked in the cocktail bar for 8 o’clock and a table in the restaurant for 9:15. Cocktails good and got onto our restaurant table at the time booked. Staff served us drinks and took our order quite quickly but the whole experience went downhill from there!! Starters came after about 20 minutes (which is fine), plates cleared away when done, but, mains eventually came out at 10:45!!!!! Far far far to long a time. To be fair front of house staff apologetic and did everything they could but not a lot they could do when the food just wasn’t there!! The food was good, no denying it, but, that’s really no good when the overall experience was so poor. Bill about £500 for four which is fine when the whole experience stacks up but not with such poor timing and we ended up not enjoying our night out. Wouldn’t return to any of Jason Atherton’s establishments I’m afraid.

Famous chef restaurants that have been on TV are not as high-end and rigorous as imagined. They are still a bit fashionable and casual. The chef's own photos and TV screenshots have been hung in the restaurant, always highlighting the sense of existence.
The current chef of Social Eating House, Daniel Birk, was originally born as a pastry chef. In the desserts of SEH, this kind of "skills" can be seen everywhere, and there are always subtle surprises in the right sweetness. Smash the coconut pavlova (Coconut pavlova), which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, close a bite of mango sorbet and coriander leaf petals, and then wait for the distinct licorice flavor of fennel to penetrate it intimately. There is also the slightly bitter pink pomelo sorbet, with the sweet sorrel (Sorrel) and the slightly sharp mint jelly, which is clear and extraordinary. A few staples are not inferior. The homemade button-sized orecchiette pasta is very flexible, mixed with the savory flavours of smoked ham and anchovies, served with a few garlic fried purple broccoli, and covered with sheep cheese. It is extremely delicious . Another roasted foie gras is served with Japanese-style broth, kelp, pine nuts, and radish. It is fresh, rich and moist, complementing each other. Overall evaluation: Delicious high score, worth a visit, in line with my expectations of Mi Yixing.
Social Eating House is somewhere between casual and high-end restaurants. I think it is very suitable for friends gathering or couples dating. The decoration of the restaurant is very charming, and I especially like its bar counter. The bartender’s performance is very wonderful, the taste of the cocktail is also great, and the atmosphere of the whole meal is very relaxed. The waiter's service is very attentive and the dishes are served quickly. The cod was shipped by air from Japan. It is very fresh and tender. The fried pork chop is also very good, very seasoned, and with cheese sauce, tender and juicy on the outside. The fragrant dessert chocolate brownie is very special, with a layer of rum caramel roasted icing on it. The aroma of the wine and the aroma of chocolate are perfectly combined. It is delicious.
