Had the angus, the prime rib, the pork and the kobe beef. I think angus was my favorite. It tasted like the brisket you find in pho except you can dip it in a sauce and it's pretty good. Wasn't too crazy about the kobe. It had a weird texture. The pork and prime rib were on point. We did a pot of sukiyaki, and a split pot of spicy miso and shabu shabu. I didn't even use the shabu because the Sukiyaki is where it's at. That was our favorite. Service is great. My only gripe is they had no clue what the entertainment guide coupon was... but they still gave me a discount. so.. oh well... will definitely return
When we got there it look like it was a cheap Japanese place opposite a petrol station. The restaurant was dark and had a small menu. We ordered shabu shabu. When I tasted the shabu shabu it was great and full of flavour. with the shabu shabu you could get unlimited rices.
This was a wonderful atmosphere to be able to cook your own food at the table. I wasn't crazy about cooking my meats in water, I would have preferred an oil, but it was tasty. The chocolate fondue dessert was delicious and a must try! I would go back with guests for the experience but I wouldn't go by myself to just dine for their food.
I've been here about five times over the past few years, each time the food and service were very good. They have a new menu now, since my last visit earlier this year. I tried the prime rib with the sukiyaki broth, much more flavor with the sukiyaki than the other two choices. It took me a few times until I discovered this out. The meat was good, although I don't know if I could tell much of a difference from the less expensive meat choice. I got the medium serving, could have used more meat, but didn't want to pay for the large. The veggies and noodles were good too, we were very satisfied with our meals. As a bonus, we checked in on a certain app and got free ice cream, nice finish to our great dinner.
