This park along Museum Row isn't as big as I imagined that it would be, but it's still a great place to take a quick walk or go to for outdoor events, or enjoy the tar pits, or run and/or fly kites, or let your kids climb on the statues of prehistoric creatures.

Live in Park La Brea Apts. Loving this area of LA. Irish pub around the corner rocks. Need a hot dog head to Pink's, want to rock out or dance..head to the Cat House, want to eat and drink at the greatest pub in LA,,, head to Cat n' Fiddle (Sunset & Highland),,want to shop or get a tattoo or buy some kinky sex toy..head to Melrose.. It is just a hop skip and a jump to Beverly Hills and Westwood. My law school (Whittier Law School) was down the street, and the price is right and outdoor beer garden//farmer's market across the street..HEAVEN...I LIVED IN HEAVEN
After spending a few hours at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, we arrived at the park. We looked at the museum from the outside upstairs, but by then it was closed. We tried to cut across the park to the opposite La Brea residential area and found ourselves lost. The park, which was built in 1940, is pretty but when you're stuck inside and it gets longer and longer, it gets very frustrating! We walked out at night.
Of course, the asphalt pits existed long before this city, but I am very interested in this ongoing excavation project in the center of Los Angeles. The tar pit is only a few blocks from Wilshire Boulevard and a few miles from Rodeo Drive. Thousands of fossils unearthed in the mine are shocking, and this work continues today. For natural historians and paleontology students of all ages, this is a must see. La Brea Tar Pits are the top four attractions I saw in Los Angeles and I was not disappointed
I have been to Los Angeles twice, and I think I must go to La Brea Park every time I come here. This is just a small actual demonstration, but it can let the human body understand how they are trapped. It is very good to go to the museum on a rainy day.
