Longjiang Park

Longjiang Park was built in 1981. It was originally the old channel of the Longchuan River, shaped like a horseshoe, hence the name Horseshoe Bend. Now, due to the diversion of Longchuan River, it has been turned into a park. The total area is more than 170 acres. The buildings here are arranged richly and harmoniously. The small plum garden in the north, the cloister attic, surrounded by plum trees, are clean and elegant, and there are often exhibitions of flowers, texts, calligraphy and paintings. The ice skating rink, yacht marina, and boat-style water teahouse in the southeast corner can be used for enjoying a cup of tea or enjoying a leisurely boat ride; in the northeast corner, the Shahua Island, the Begonia Forest and the green lawn are secluded and secluded. As for the children's playground in the stone arch on the north side, children can play. The whole park is not only a show of gardens, but also has fun. The old name of Chuxiong was Lucheng, so Longjiang Park carved deer statues as a symbol of Lucheng. At the same time, there is also a beautiful statue of Miyilu representing the kindness, simplicity and bravery of the Yi people; the murals reflecting the life of the unique flower arrangement festival of the Yi people are planned to be painted. The famous poems left by celebrities of all dynasties when they visited Chuxiong are also selected and engraved in the garden.
