What people are saying:

The Burke Fortress is a historical relic of Luxembourg. It was located in the Spanish ruled area at the time. It was built in 1644. It was only 40 years later that French military engineers led the expansion of its building network, and then it was completed by the Austrians. Under the castle, there are more than 20 kilometers of tunnels and hidden forts, which are excavated from hard rock. The project is quite arduous. Among them, underground defense passages are established on several different geographic levels and extend down 40 meters at the same time. The project is complicated. These impressive defense systems are called the "Gibraltar of the North" in Luxembourg. After the fort was demolished in 1867, the 17-kilometer-long fort in the city wall is now well preserved and was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994.
