Hotel de Ville

Lyon municipal government is the classic work of the 17th century building, the west side of the square is a fountain, the fountain of the designer is the designer of the statue of liberty, on the east side of Lyon is a modern opera house, here is a good place for people to relax.

The area of Hotel de Ville is a less touristy district of Lyon and is more frequented by locals. It is home to the Opera House and a lot of good bars and clubs. You can find anything from Irish pubs to Jazz bars just follow the crowd and enjoy. During the day there are often performers in front of the fountain across from the Opera House.

Interesting enough to warrant a walk through the square but not a destination per se.

Lyon City Hall is one of the most beautiful buildings in France. It was built in the middle of the 17th century and was damaged by a fire in 1674. It was restored in 1702 and 1853 respectively. In the center of the building stands a horse-riding statue of Henry IV. Surrounding the atrium is a three-story arched building and a 50-meter-high bell tower. The form is very beautiful. The Plaza de la Terre {Wilder Plaza}} in front of the city hall is a popular resting place for Lyon citizens. There is a fountain in the center of the square and a commemorative bronze statue of a four-headed horse in the pool. The square is currently being renovated.

Lyon City Hall is located on the east side of the Loam Square. The exterior is decorated with Italian-style statues and domes. The interior is decorated in a baroque architectural style. Many gorgeous halls and corridors are open for public viewing and are worth seeing.
