The Church of St. Francis Xavier is a Gothic two-tower church built by a French priest in 1849 and dedicated to the missionary St. Francis, known as the "Apostle of East Asia", in recognition of his spread of Catholicism in Southeast Asia in the 16th century Great contribution to the Gospel. St. Francis Xavier wanted to come to China as a missionary, but died on the way.
