Cave

What people are saying:

Thousand-year myths have legendary this deep cave on the high mountain. It is said that in this cave, Calypso and Odysseus, the daughter of the sea god, lived sweetly for seven years. It's a pity that the good times didn't last long. Although she was promised to be immortal and youthful, Odysseus finally left her and returned to the troubled and troubled world to find her original partner.

    Nice hidden cave

Nice hidden cave with a great view on the calypso beach. A bit tricky to get there but definitely worth it!

Don't waste your time trying to find it.

Visited in August 2019 and due to rock instability there was no access to Calypso Cave. All you could do is access the area above the cave and take in the coastal views, which were stunning from this...

Beautiful, but we couldn't go inside

November 2018 (not 2019) So this is where, according to the Odyssey, the Nymph kept Odysseus for seven years. That was about the coolest thing to note during our brief, topside visit to the cave. L...

    Good spot for photography

A quick stop to enjoy the scenery and take a few pictures of the bay. The road to the cave can be a little hard to find

Not much to do when closed off

Currently the access is closed due to geological activity. You can walk to the railings and look over, read the sign at the entrance and visit the gift shop, that’s about it!
