Fort San Angelo stands in the town of Vitoriosa on the east side of Port Grand with great momentum. Originally built in the Middle Ages, it was called the Castle of Marys. From the 1530s to the 1690s, the Order of St. John was rebuilt as a prism with a name of St. Angelo's Fort. Great damage was suffered in World War II, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Experimental List in 1998.
Fort San Angelo is located on the east side of Port Malta. It is a magnificent coastal fortress. From Malta's Upper Barak Garden, we can see the whole picture of the fortress. It is absolutely an outstanding defensive fortification in ancient times. It is amazing.
