The historic BBC announced plans for a new 'Mediacity' headquarters in 2007, and in 2011 relocated its five divisions from the London metropolitan area and its Manchester North headquarters to Manchester Salford Quays, the establishment of a new headquarters base "Media City". The building space is centered on leisure facilities rather than office space, and the overall design and decoration are based on the key point of vitality. At present, some major BBC channels, such as sports news, children's programs and other related personnel are all working here. The well-known column "British Morning" (BBCBreakfast) is also produced and broadcast in this building.
