The ancient Spanish Palace Church, located inside Prague Castle, is a wonderful example of Gothic architecture, with many of the tombs of Bohemian kings, the largest and most important church in the Czech Republic. The first church, which is located in the present-day church of St. Vitte, is an early Roman-style circular building built in 925 by Václav I, Duke of Bohemia, and expanded into a Roman-style church in 1060, and in 1344 Charles IV ordered the construction of a Gothic building on the original church. The church was built in the early 20th century.
