Margaret River Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Hiking in Naturaliste Park, Margaret River
Hiking in Naturaliste Park is fun and relaxing and the view is majestic. Recommended to drive there instead of going with tour so you have more time to explore and is about 3 hours from Perth city. You can oversee the ocean from the top as well as walking distance to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. Just be careful as the road could be quite rocky with many branches and best to walk in pair. Occasionally you might see one or two kangaroos hopping by. #hiking #margaretriver
Western Australia Road Trip (2/4)
This time we went south!
destinations:
pic 2&3: The Big Orange
pic 4-7: Busselton jetty
pic 8-9: Canal rocks
pic 10-12: Quinninup falls
pic 13,14: Jewel cave
pic 15, 16, 17: Cape Lewin light house > Hamlin bay > Margret river chocolate factory.
The trip was made around September, the winter period of Australia. This was a 3D2N trip due to time constraints from our study schedule but overall still enjoyable.
Our first stop was the big orange where we get to see many orange plantations as well as taste some of the orange infused chocolate that the place sold. We can go up to the tower as well.
Our second stop was Busselton Jetty. Admission to the jetty cost about $5 and it’s a pretty long walk to the end. When you reach the end, it feels surreal because you’re so far out into the ocean. On that day we were caught in the rain because there was no way we could run 1 km back to where our car war since we are so far out the ocean 🤣🤣🤣. THANK god there was this small souvenir shop which we hid in.
our third stop was canal rocks and we were so lucky to be able to see and walk across the bridge before it got destroyed by the way is a few months later… It was the most beautiful sight of mother nature.
after that was a hike to a waterfall. We went through bush areas and once we emerge from the dense plantations, we were greeted with wild Wallabies prancing around in the fields and also wide open areas that just makes a person feel free. REFRESHING!!!
The fourth destination was Jewel Cave. There are actually a lot of caves around the area but we chose jewel cave because it was the most convenient to go to. This is a guided tour about an hour where the guide brings you around the cave and out.
The fifth and sixth destination was towards the end of our second day. in the morning we went to the Lighthouse and we got to go up to the Lighthouse and experience the strength of winds up to 150km/h!!! it also offered a stunning view of the coast! after that, we decided to catch the sunset by the beach. We heard that we could see stingrays at Hamelin Bay so we went. But the currents were a bit too strong by the time we arrived.
On our final day, we checked out and headed to the chocolate factory. The most famous chocolate factory in the Margaret River region, the Margaret River chocolate factory. They offer free samples as well as a wide variety of chocolate with insane flavours infused in them. I bought a few bars, took a few samples… Maybe more than a few… And we went back to campus.
overall, the trip was enjoyable. But regrettably we only had a short period of time to do a lot of activities. A lot of driving was involved and that’s the time was lost. But would definitely go again!

Lake Cave, Margaret River, Perth 🇦🇺
#wheretogo
When in Perth, Australia, I had the opportunity to go visit Lake Cave, and it was truly magical.
Located in Margaret River, Lake Cave is a magnificent chamber located deep beneath the earth's surface. Once inside, journey into this ancient attraction to marvel at its crystal formations which have been growing over almost a million years.
Well worth a visit, as it’s really a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Tip: wear comfortable sturdy shoes.
My rating of this attraction: 5 ⭐️ out of 5!

Mammoth Cave Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Beautiful mammoth cave assessable by all
Visited mammoth cave with parents who are not able to climb stairs well. They were able to walk the first 2 levels and climb the first flight of stairs. Commentary provided through headsets helped. Available in English, Mandarin and other languages. The caves were spectacular especially for them who have never been into a cave before. The fact that we were able to explore the mammoth cave on our own without a guide was fantastic as my parents needed time to slowly walk around and descend from the stairs. #mammothcave #margaretriver

Yahava KoffeeWorks Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
❤️coffee at Yahava KoffeeWorks❤️
#valentinescape
Yahava KoffeeWorks is a coffee roaster and café located in the Swan Valley.
we took a tour of the roastery and café, where we learnt about the history and process of coffee roasting, sample different blends, and purchase beans to take home.
it is a popular destination for coffee lovers, and the café provides an ideal location to relax, unwind, and sample some of the best coffee blends in Western Australia. The café is open 7 days a week, and serves a breakfast and lunch, featuring a range of light meal options, making it a great spot to start or end a day of exploring the surrounding wineries and attractions in the Swan Valley.
Yahava Koffeworks
There is one outlet of Yahava Koffeeworks in Singapore at Tagore Lane but it is nothing compared to the original Yahava in Perth Australia. And also if you realised, you do not see starbucks in perth, but rather you would see many outlets of Yahava Koffeeworks, even at petrol kiosks. Their coffee is like magic at Yahava, you could taste the aroma of the coffee and it is just wonderful. Their coffee beans is on sale too and grab a bag of it, If you can. I promise you their coffee is great! Also, the cups used for their coffee are huge and it only cost about 5-6 Aud for that size, compared to starbucks, a venti already sets you back close to $8sgd a cup. If you're at Yahava, order their cappuccino or mocha, it won't go wrong.
