Arc de Triomphe ( Porte d'Aix )

This magnificent building was designed and built by Penchaud in 1823 to commemorate the victory of the French Revolution and the First Empire of France, and was presented as a gift to the Republic, consul and ruler. Its inscriptions and shallow stone sculptures were designed by sculptors David Danger and Remy. Its vault symbolizes the entrance to the ancient city. When we passed the Arc de Triomphe, it was estimated that it was going to be renovated and constructed. The surrounding area was like a construction site, but the Arc de Triomphe was exquisite and spectacular. There is not only the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, but also in Marseilles. It is named after the road connecting Marseilles and the city of Aix, and it is also the entrance to the city.
