Meizhou day trip, noon local friends brought to "wanqiu building", here was the former wanqiu mansion, very atmospheric, unfortunately said that the owner did not live in one day. Before here the flow of passengers, after the central eight regulations, gradually fell, all the upstairs box closed, noon seems to be only we a small table. Business light, the quality of dishes naturally also declined.
Meizhou Wanqiu building this building is very special, the overall structure is complete, the Chinese and Western architecture in one, the Western-style pointed roof bell tower, plus the Chinese Hakka's Wailong House, really Chinese and Western. The dishes are rich, the Meicai button meat is very authentic!
The building is very special, decorated in quaint color, from the outside to see it feels very much, it is said that the building is a call Wanqiu overseas Chinese built. The authentic Hakka style, fine workmanship, taste is very good!
Traditional Hakka restaurant, salt picker tore chicken preferable.
More authentic Hakka dishes, worth a visit [taste] [environment] [service]
Very retro, very special restaurant, specialty dishes, delicious, here to eat another feeling, good.
Manqiu Building was built by Mr. Wanqiu Xia, a Chinese resident of Meizhou, Malaysia. He was a major shareholder of Ma Guodong-ying Company. After working hard overseas and making a fortune, he returned to Chengjiang Township, Kaying (present-day Meizhou) in 1920. It cost 48 dollars to build the Wanqiu building. At the same time, he built a 'Manqiu school' (currently called Fuwai elementary school in Meixian District, Meizhou City), which was a school established with personal financial support.
