A great day for families and groups.
This wonderful and well-laid-out zoo offers a chance to see unique Australian wildlife that you rarely get the opportunity to spot in normal life. There’s a duckbilled platypus, wombats, Tasmanian devils and koalas, as well as the more easily spotted kangaroos and emus. It was great to get up close to animals like the platypus and wombats.
Fantastic place, fabulous selection of animals where you could get up close. Loved having photos with the wallabies running freely.
Great zoo, there are so many animals to see it can take all day to make your way around it, and the enclosures are generally really well done. Some of the pathways that you follow around are really peaceful on quiet days when it seems like its just you and the animals under the trees
Amazing butterfly hothouse. Butterflies of all colours landing on you BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!
Love the Melbourne Zoo, have been many times!
I went their the other day with school and some of the tourists there were very rude, this little boy needed help with a game and I asked if he needed help and he said yes then I helped him and then his mother comes up to me and yells at me for 'snatching a toy off a child' and 'snatching it so I could play the game' I just think this is inconsiderate
A great place to see a wide range of animals .. of course including kangaroos.
The zoo is always fun to go to. Whilst most of the animals are always the same, it is impossible to predict what the animals are going to do, and so makes for a joyous trip every time. Beware of the ticket prices, they can be considered high by the unsuspecting visitor. Also, bring your own food if you can - it is way cheaper than buying stuff actually at the zoo.
