The San Diego Arms Plaza is located in the urban area. When the Weapons Square was still colonized by Spain in Spain, the Spaniards used a lot of weapons in the Arms Square to shock the local aborigines. Today's Weapons Square has become a place for local citizens to meet, shop, set up, and perform. It is surrounded by the most important religious, political and cultural institutions in San Diego. On the west side of the square is the largest and most magnificent cathedral in Chile.
