Just for little ones: The Miami Children’s Museum is a wonderful place for children up to age 10 to explore the world around them. Lots of hands on activities and interactive experiences offer insights into different environments, like the sea and ocean. Have fun in the supermarket, find out, how a bank really works, visit "Pet Central" to experience how it is to really be responsible for an animal and learn about sustainable energy and green technologies at “My Green Home”. The Sensory Saturdays , which happen every second Saturday of the month, are targeted especially towards children on the autism spectrum, featuring black light paintings and yoga.
My son enjoyed a lot in this fantastic museum for little ones. The most terrifying things are moving dinos. There' a a large area dedicated to boats, fishing and Miami port. Kids could do shopping in supermarket or go to a bank, pretend of being a doctor or a policeman, constructing a building or listening to the music. There are really many activities to do. I' m not giving five stars only because some tools / instruments were broken.
The Miami Children's Museum is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children. There are several exhibits like the Castle of Dreams where the children can climb through a two-story sandcastle and see sands from around the world. There's also a Health & Wellness Center where children learn how good nutrition and exercise can keep their minds and bodies fit. But my toddler's favorite is the Supermarket, as she loves to shop... :)
