About Mianzhu: Mianzhu is administered under Deyang City, Sichuan Province, and is located in the northwest of the Sichuan Basin. Mianzhu has a long history and was known in ancient times as the land of the Shu rulers. Mianzhu has a mild climate. Its Jiuding (“Nine Peak”) Mountain is a national park, and Mount Siguniang (Skubla) makes up a main part of the ecological corridor of giant panda habitats. Mianzhu has been called one of the “72 blessed paradisaical landscapes” of Taoism and is where the Mianzhu style of nianhua (commemorative of the Spring Festival) painting originated.
