This is another monument that can be found in Park Batlle. As part of our Montevideo city tour, we passed this obelisk. It is not as large as the one in Buenos Aires.
The obelisk was built to commemorate the country's constitution. It was pointed out during a tour drive by. There is a fountain around the base. Other than a landmark it is nothing unusual.

Obelisk Commemorating Constitution
