Samtavro Church

The church we visited was named Samtavro Main Church, also known as the Woman's Monastery of San Nino. It may seem more appropriate to us, as all the nuns were seen here. San Nino, who guided Georgia to convert to the Orthodox Church, lived here, so there is a San Nino chapel on the east side of the churchyard. Almost all female visitors who come in to visit or worship will check in there, and the incense is very strong. It is said that the location of the hut is the place where San Nino worshiped, no wonder it was so sacred. There was the nun's clothes and the coffin of the king and queen who was guided to establish the Orthodox Church as the state religion. This is a very sacred place in Georgia, but unfortunately we see not many tourists here. There are also many nuns' cemeteries in the churchyard, and the owners of these cemeteries may have told different stories in the historical era. There is a small museum behind the yard, walk in to see, mainly pictures and text introduction. Because of the language barrier, I don't know that the leader of the monastery is displayed.

Russia is in the north and Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan are in the south. Once the home of former Soviet Union-Canada allies, former Soviet leader Stalin, it is located in the entire Black Sea coast, the middle of the Kula River and the Alazani Valley, tributary of the Kula River, which connects Eurasia to the Midwest of the Transcaucasus.

Also called St. Nemo Abbey, more than 10 minutes from the Pillar of Life Cathedral, opens at 10 in the morning, on a hill, there is no ticket, there is also a souvenir shop, the price is relatively affordable, there are wood carvings of the main church, there are good-looking candlesticks, and necklaces bracelets. There are some old people at the door who ask for charity, old people who sell flowers.
