maklong railway station 2 hours from bangkok
took a shared coach transport package with klook (sgd$90+ after $10 discount for 2 pax) and departed from siam paragon/bts around 11am. upon arrival around 1pm we had lunch at an aircon eatery recommended by our tour guide, end of the market. staff were friendly, food was ok though not cheap. queue inside for toilet was long thus we proceeded to the market.
tried this special 80baht red seeded fruit (cousin of soursop) which has a unique taste. after train arrived around 3+, we walked till the end of the station where the the train was parked till 4plus. we could board the train for photos and witnessed staff cleaning the train and washing the train toilets.
went to the jetty and saw motorbikes boarding this ferry beside the temple. there was also this tranquil cafe beside the river.

A market on railway track
You may have seen a video on Facebook about a train getting through a local market in Thailand.
It was a wonderful trip to Maeklong Railway Market, the market is called ‘life-risking’ market because its stalls are attached to the railway, vendors at the market put out parasols or canvas to protect themselves against the sun, the shelters stick into the railway where visitors walk and do their shopping(there are selling food, fruits, meats, vegetables & souvenirs, crowded usually when tourism opens), when each signal of the arriving train rings, chaos happens....vendors will rush to close their parasols and canvas, along with clearing all goods that will obstruct the coming train at a great speed, once the train passes, parasols and canvas will be reopened as goods are again put into their usual place next to the rail track.

Attractions - Wet market literally sits on railway tracks 🚋

From the beautiful railway market that always has to open the train, I went to the Amphawa Floating Market, which is only available on weekends. I experienced the two major food markets around Bangkok and admire the speed of the small vendors on the railway side. And the shelf side is also worried about the tourists stepping on their goods. The highlights of the Amphawa Floating Market are not only fireflies, seafood and other food and beverage outlets are very good, the prices of these two markets are not expensive, 10 pigs of coconut, 20 pig noodle soup, is definitely a conscience price ~

Traveling to Thailand? Why not visit the Amphawa Floating Market in Bangkok - December is the perfect time to go!
One of the highlights of visiting the market in December is the pleasant weather. As you cruise along the river, you'll feel a cool breeze and be surrounded by the mesmerizing sight of floating lanterns illuminating the market.
Additionally, December offers a variety of seasonal products. You'll find a delightful selection of fruits and vegetables characteristic of Thailand's winter, as well as international treats like gingerbread biscuits and candy canes.

Amphawa Floating Market, Bangkok 🇹🇭
#bangkok
Amphawa Floating Market is one of the most popular tourist destinations. This floating market is located around 50km away from the main city, so advisable to go no later than early afternoon so you will have plenty of time to explore the market.
The experience is absolutely amazing with so many boats full of variety of food. We also took the boat ride which took around an hour and showed us the whole floating market.

TheTravelingSuitcase (@thetravelingsuitcasee) amphawa floating market 2h from bangkok city
we took a klook package and boarded the tour bus at siam paragon exit 5 11am on a Friday in September. after $10 coupon we grabbed, it was around $90+ for 2 adults.
it consisted of maeklong railway market and amphawa floating market with fireflies. the floating market has quite a number of stalls and branches off across 2 bridges over the amphawa river. oysters were cheap but a bit bland. we chose to dine by the river but beware of active kids falling through the gap below the table.
the highlight was fireflies after the sunset, so we boarded the 620pm motorboat as arranged by our guide. the boat first passed by some temples and a 5-star hotel, before heading the other way for fireflies which light up like an Xmas tree. along the way there were more bridges and temples.

Floating market Thailand
Thailand isn't all that bad this time. However, I think I got cheated by the taxi driver. He provided me with the good place to go the floating market, but when I asked him about the entry fee, they didn't tell me until we arrived at the place and the price is starting from 1500B to 3500B/ person for Asian price this could be the expensive experience. Before you travel there, I recommend that you do some research .

😍🚂Railway Market in BANGKOK🍎🥕
#visitbangkok
If you happen to be visiting Bangkok, the Maeklonh Railway Market is an absolute-must to visit! It is so unique that almost every tourist goes there!
As its name suggests, it is a thai market in Bangkok that operates on the railway. That means that during the day there would be a train coming in! The train comes around 3 times per day so if you want to catch the train coming in the market, make sure you catch the right time and do the research! When the train comes, all the vendors in the market will close their tent and move all their stuff and goods inside to give way to the train. What a thing to witness! 😍 It is also an excellent way to shop for souvenirs as the prices in the market are actually decent with some bargaining
Unique Experience @ Maeklong Railway Market
#bangkoktrip
Interesting and unique experience. A market located on the train tracks. Very funny when the train arrives, the dance of the sellers and customers clearing the track. The problem is the thousands of tourists that flood the market. There is almost no space to walk. An advice: go on an organized tour. The market is far and difficult to reach. So it becomes much simple.
We went with your group, we arrive timely. The train reach around 8:30am in the last station, which is Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub). We spent about an hour there and the train depart 9am. So we able to take pictures twice - arriving and departing. We have our nice coconut drink and snack there.

Shop🛍️and STOP When The Train🚞 Passes
📍Maeklong Railway Market
The famous railway market where the train passes a few inches away from you. It takes more than an hour ⏰to get here from Bangkok . Therefore, I recommend going on a group tour to save you money 💰 and the trouble of getting lost. Be sure to get a good spot at least 30 minutes before the train passes to get good shots📸. Everything costs💰much less than it is in Bangkok, it’s a good spot to shop souvenirs.
Take a tour inside the train when it stops; nothing cute, just an old train but worth seeing if you’ve never seen one before.

🇹🇭 Maeklong Station market
After the Floating market Damnoen Saduak, I got my private driver to go to Maeklong Station market. This is the infamous market whereby the vendors have to keep their stores to let the train pass through. Yuu will be thrilled if you are here for the first time. As always, be careful and be alert of your surroundings and watch out for traffic. My driver is the nicest person and he even suggested that I take the train for 1 station and he will wait at the next station to pick me up. If you have time then you can hire a driver or join a day tour to visit this unique market for your memories.

This time in Bangkok is a long time, and finally there is time to do the same route as the locals. I already knew that I could take a minibus directly from Bangkok to go to Meigong, but I wanted to take the train to Meigong. I checked that it is not very troublesome to take a train from Bangkok to the United States. It is within our acceptable range.
Do your homework in advance to check the timetable. The actual itinerary is as follows (actual train is on time):

🇹🇭😍Wat Bang Kung Bangkok - Tree Temple❗️
#visitbangkok
Many tourists in Bangkok visit Wat Bang Kung! It is just 45mins away from the city center by car.
It is a must visit temple in Bangkok! It will help you find peace of mind and cherish the beauty of nature. When you take a walk through this ancient temple, you can actually experience a different world full of spiritualism and novelty.
Just after entering Wat Bang Kung, stands the iconic Sanctuary that is hidden under the branches and roots of trees. Inside, enshrined the famous golden Buddha Statue. It is not so unusual that in such a peaceful place, many Thais visit the place daily to worship the figure. Of course, if you have some time, make sure you don’t forget to gild the gold leaf on the statue for good luck like the locals do! It is also a good sign you’re paying respect to the Thai traditions and religions!
Unseen Thailand, Buddha image in tree
#dreamvoyage
If you never know about Unseen Thailand places, you should consider this temple “Wat Bang Kung”. An ancient war area long time ago. At that time, Burmese troop ran into Siam and robbed gold from many places, especially from Temple as Buddha Image was made by Gold. This temple was survived from that incident because a big tree has covered a whole temple and become a part of it.
