Old tower
Built in 1388 as a defensive tower (part of city walls) - it became a belfry in 1746. It's also called Saint Jacob's Tower.
Not a lot to see
Not much to see and you don’t get in it . Plaque on it tells of its history ( in French) now UNESCO site . Very noisy clock on top - chimed the hour as we were reading the plaque and made us jump!
Quite impressive
The beffroi of Namur is quite impressive tall and seemingly a great defense it is worth the visit. During WWII is has been bruised however
No more interest
The campanario tower located next to the Arms Square, built at the end of the XIV century, is lower than it is usually in the other Belgian and French towers included in the L patrimony ...
