Yuyuan Gardens are beautiful to visit any time of year. However, during the Chinese Lantern Festival everything is decorated and looks lovely! There are plenty of places inside to eat and shop as well. I bought an engraved pearl necklace and pieces of jade while visiting (be prepared to haggle as it’s part of the culture). I believe it was 50 rmb to visit during the festival. #happynewyear

Search for 'Fudan Information Office' on WeChat. 2. There are tickets for the Planetarium on the spot, when does the queue start? You can queue up to buy tickets on the spot, the specific time depends on the situation of the day. I tried to grab tickets for several days but didn't get any. But my child is interested in astronomy, so I checked a lot of strategies at the time, saying that you can also queue up to buy tickets on the spot on the day. I wasn't sure, so I called the Planetarium. The staff answered quite tactfully, 'If there are returned tickets, there will be some tickets on the spot, but you need to queue up early.' Our situation on the day was like this: We originally planned to queue up at 8:30 in the morning, but because it was raining and cold in the morning, we were afraid that the child would catch a cold, so we didn't rush and arrived at around 9:20. When we arrived, we started to queue up. Maybe because the weather was bad, there weren't many people in line in front of us. Tickets started to be sold at 9:30, and it took less than 20 minutes for us to enter the venue. We were quite lucky. Transportation: 1. We took the subway from Nanjing East Road Subway Station to Drip Lake Subway Station, and it took less than an hour and a half without taking the direct Line 16 or the big station bus. 2. Drip Lake Subway Station - Planetarium, you can walk, it's quite close. We took a taxi at the time because we were in a hurry to buy tickets and were afraid of delaying time. Queue: There are two queues on the spot, the right queue (near the ticket window) is for buying tickets on the spot, and the other queue is for those who have made reservations online. Many strategies say that there is already a long queue at 8:30 in the morning, but when we arrived at nearly half past nine, there were only about a hundred people in front of us, so it depends on the situation. Our situation on the day was a working day during the winter vacation and the weather was not very good (it was only raining in the morning, and it had stopped raining when we arrived at the Planetarium).

This visit was not deliberate, but just happened on a sunny day. I was in a good mood, and naturally woke up and decided to walk around. Ironing the newly acquired small iron, enjoying the warmth of the sun, sitting under the maple tree watching the sparkling lake, tasting a cup of coffee, it is a very healing enjoyment! Yu Yuan is located in Laomen West, Qinhuai District, Nanjing. It is a famous Jiangnan garden in the late Qing Dynasty and is known as the 'Jinling Lion Forest'. It is commonly known as Hu's Garden, because the owner of Yu Yuan at that time was the Hu family.
