    I wouldn't swim there

It's kind of a polluted reservoir. I wouldn't swim in it, much less drink the water. Boring.

Additional Information

Introduction

Originally known as Dawangtan Reservoir, Phoenix Lake is located in Lianhua Village of Nama Township, Yongning County, Nanning City. It is a very large artificial lake in Nanning; it was originally a flooded river beach. In ancient times, there was a Dawang Temple built here, hence the name Dawangtan. During the Great Leap Forward in 1958, the government organized people to build a reservoir here, blocking the water under the Phoenix Mountain to irrigate farmland and breed a large number of fish. Because of the rich landscape of water and mountains, it has become a popular tourist location, known simply as Phoenix Lake.
