Built in the 12th century, Brussels Grand Place is one of the "most beautiful squares in Europe" and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The surrounding Gothic buildings resemble a burning flame, and the square floor is paved with granite. The minimalist style and bright pictures show the city's cultural identity. The buildings in the Ring Square are mostly Gothic, Renaissance, Louis XIV and other architectural forms built in the Middle Ages.
