The Heritage Museum of the Bahamas

What people are saying:

It is very close to the chocolate factory and the local National Art Gallery, and the exhibits here are also not exquisite. The quiet building displays some of the cultures of the early Indians and Spanish colonists, such as the white wedding dresses (which can be regarded as precious cultural relics). The other is the larger gift house to buy some local characteristic clothing accessories.

    tons of history here

very cool artifacts, nice tour. The audio tour was a bust but the woman working did the tour herself which was great. A lot of history of the Bahamas I didn't know previously.

Sherise was a great tour guide and we loved this museum!

Sherise walked us around the museum (which was blessedly cool) telling us about the artifacts -- she said they have the largest collection of slavery artifacts on the island. I don't remember all ...
