Church of Mary Magdalene

This church is actually very special. It is an Orthodox church. It is dedicated to Mary Magdalene, the female disciple of Jesus. It is said that Mary Magdalene was the first person to see Jesus resurrection. The church is typical Russian style. Although the scale is not very large, it is very delicate. The church has seven dazzling golden onion domes, very Russian.

The church was built by Tsar Alexander III in 1886 to commemorate his mother Maria Alexandrovna. It is typical of Russian style and includes seven dazzling gold-plated onion domes.

Opening hours: Thursday and Saturday morning 10:00 - 12:00 and then go down to see the Church of the World (Church of All Nations Gethsemane) and Gessimani Garden. Going to the old city, there is a good seat for shooting the Mary Church of Magdalene. You can walk to the faeces door of the old city.

Walking down the hill from the Mount of Olives, you can reach the Church of Mary Magdalene, a Russian Orthodox church, the dome of the onion is golden, reminding me of those churches I saw in Russia.
