Good food but too much bread on cheesesteak.

My wife was waiting 3 years for another burrito from Charlys and it didn't disappoint when she eventually got it. Cooked fresh in front of you I had to admire the fortitude of the staff behind the hot plate in 30 degree heat as I wilted out front waiting for my order. Its decent fast(ish) food and prices are on a par with most places in New York, my burger was typical US size leaving you wanting a knife and fork to try to negotiate your way round it and the the Philly cheese steak I had on my second visit this trip was good with steak as opposed to gristle.

I always get the Philly subs when here. You get a lot of tender meat and hot, soft cheeze. Much better than Subway. The pizza looks very good too but I never tried it. There are no tables and chairs, but you can stand at a counter by the window and watch lower Manhattan and the people walking by. Or you can eat while walking on the street.

Open late. Grilled chicken wrap with bacon was out of this world! Always grab a bite when I'm stuck doing overnight OT at work.
