We bought the ferry tickets on Ctrip and made a cruise around the Statue of Liberty Island. When we came back, we went around the Brooklyn Bridge. It felt good. We took a lot of photos after playing this way. The view of Manhattan from the distance is also very beautiful, it took about an hour. Very good value.
Upon learning that the French government was willing to present a gift to the United States, Bartholdi took the initiative to ask Ying to cast the Statue of Liberty. Its full name is "The Statue of Liberty National Monument", and the official name is "The Statue of Liberty Shining on the World". The crown worn on the head of the goddess is the shining light of the seven continents and four oceans; the "Declaration of Independence" held in the left hand symbolizes the determination of the American people to pursue freedom and break free from tyranny; under their feet are broken handcuffs, fetters and shackles, symbolizing It is a testament to the American people's struggle for bravery, freedom and democracy. For the suffering American immigrants, this is a guarantee to get rid of the poverty and oppression of the old world, and the Statue of Liberty has thus become a symbol of the national spirit.
This place is a must visit to New York. I have been there 3 times and security has been stepping up so always try to be early, because there’s always a long queue at battery park to 1. clear security 2. to board the ferry/cruise to reach the Statue of Liberty island. I will suggest having your meals beforehand as there are limited food options on the Statue of Liberty island. Remember to purchase your tickets online days or months before your planned visit as tickets might run out fast. the option includes going up the pedestal of the statue and all the way up but I feel that the pedestal is sufficient, note that there’s a museum at the pedestal that talks about the history of the statue. u can stay on the island as long as u want so try to get the earlier tickets if u would like to take your time to enjoy the breeze on the island (but it’s cold during winter) and visit the museum on the island.. I took the ferry back when the sun was setting, u can see the Manhattan skyline and it’s beautiful
Did not went to the island ellis as the que is too long .. so i took the staten ferry instead .. the trip is about 25 min and u must get off at staten island best off all it is free .. but u can only view the statue from a distance , but u can also get the view of downtown .do keep in mind somes time thre ferry can very pack .. anyway it a fun and free way to cross the huston river and
