A Victorian-style building with furniture, wallpaper, ceramics and carvings is very distinctive. This castle was built in 1852 by porcelain trade merchants. Before the railway tycoon family built the ancient house, it was once Newport's most magnificent castle residence. Chateau-sur-Mer is French Castle by the Sea, meaning seaside castle. Although most of the mansions belong to summer vacation cottages, this is a rare permanent residential house on the island, and the way to visit here is also a guided tour. Next to the ancient house is a huge forest shrub, you can walk into the center of the tree, full of shade. The style of the whole castle is more classical, the interior light is darker, and it feels like a mysterious atmosphere filter for the ancient house.
