Nice, in addition to the Cte d'Azur, there are these taste buds that touch you!
strongly recommend this cafe de turin, in the old town of Nice. This is a century-old restaurant specializing in oysters, seafood platter is a must! Fresh and sweet, oysters, I can eat a dozen people
Nice old town market has the opportunity to go, summer can eat the freshest fruit this season, yellow apricot-like plum Must buy, Hebrin is also very juicy.
Winter dusk, the azure illusion of Nice and Cannes
In winter Cannes, the sky gradually shows melancholy, the cold wind gently blows, and the sunset quietly sets. The azure sea under the sunset glows with a faint golden light, as if it is a peaceful and dreamy scroll between heaven and earth. The old town of Nice, the winter sun shines through the mottled stone lanes, casting oblique shadows, filled with the vicissitudes of time. And the film palace of Cannes, in the winter air, appears particularly peaceful, the sunset glow reddens every corner of the city, as if telling a long story. In this quiet winter dusk, I am immersed in the emotional ripples intertwined by the sea and the sunset.
Nice | The azure coast kissed by angels
During this month-long trip around France, we were completely relaxed and unplanned, driving wherever we wanted, and we didn't arrive in Nice until late in the evening, but the sun was still shining brightly.
We leisurely strolled around the Bay of Angels, and this kind of relaxed and go-with-the-flow feeling was just wonderful!
You must arrive in Nice in the summer, because the sea here is really too beautiful.
🌴Main attractions in Nice:
📍Old Town of Nice
📍Port of Nice
📍Promenade des Anglais
📍Bay of Angels
📍Azure Coast (Gradient Coast)
📍Massena Square
📍Rothschild Garden Villa
The city of Nice is not very big, you can basically finish touring it in one day. If you have enough time, you can go to the nearby town of Antibes, which can be visited and returned on the same day.

Nice France Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
“Nicest” region in Europe?
Nicest Region in Europe?
Nice, France is located on the French Riviera (or Côte d'Azur). It's easily accessible by airport, car, or bus (Flixbus) as I came from Milan. I like Nice is that you can make it your base for the region. Spend a few days on the beach and at the castle (pictured above). You can do Monaco by bus or car. Then you can also hit Cannes, which is in the opposite direction.
For being on the ocean, the restaurants affordable, but that all depends on your budget. I did find the Farmer's Market expensive, but strawberries in the winter are a luxury.
If you don't want to spend on hotels or Airbnb, there are hostels. Plus, a tram runs through town to the ocean. However, the place is very walkable.
I went off-season, so the crowds were minimal. #tripblazers #fallingforfall #beachlife #travel #france

Downtown Nice, France
#wheretogo Exploring downtown Nice, France, is a delightful and enriching experience that goes beyond the allure of the French Riviera's pristine beaches. The city itself exudes a unique charm and charisma that's hard to resist.
While many visitors are drawn to the azure waters, I found that the heart of Nice's appeal lies in its cityscape. Wandering through the streets, you're treated to a diverse culinary landscape that's a true reflection of the French way of life. From savoring the signature Socca in charming small eateries to indulging in buttery croissants at local bakeries, every culinary encounter is a celebration of flavor.
The European-style architecture and historic buildings that line the streets are a visual feast in themselves. Nice's Old Town, with its narrow, winding streets and colorful facades, exudes a timeless European elegance. As you explore, each turn presents you with a new architectural gem, and you can't help but admire the city's rich heritage.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of exploring downtown Nice is the freedom to eat your way through the city. The numerous street-side cafes and bistros offer delectable French cuisine, providing the perfect excuse to take a leisurely stroll and savor the culinary delights along the way.
In summary, discovering downtown Nice is a multi-sensory journey that appeals to the taste buds, the eyes, and the soul. It's a place where you can appreciate the architecture, indulge in delectable French fare, and immerse yourself in the charisma of the city. It's a testament to the idea that there's so much more to the French Riviera than just its beaches, and Nice's downtown is a prime example of that allure.

Take a Stroll on the Promenade of the English
Promenade des Anglais
Another great thing to do is just walk alongside the beach. As this location was very popular with the English during Victorian times, the local authorities saw that many English tourists like to take a walk by the beach, hence the name Promenade of the English
Nice beach
Nice beach
You will notice that the beach is actually unpleasant to sit on a simple towel given that it’s made up of polished stones. There are a few bars on the beach that offer their sunbeds for renting.
Overall, we found it a very nice walk leading to the old city centre and especially on a sunny day it makes it very enjoyable.

Nice is a great contender for a city break. It offers everything you’d expect from a trip to France and more.
It’s great for families, couples or solo travellers. It is definitely more on the higher end of one’s budget however, we think it will be worth it.
We suggest you couple this amazing destination with other local favourites such as Monaco or Cannes.
Looking at our experience, we think Nice is a great option for anyone looking to explore the French Riviera. You’ll be stunned by the views from the Castle Hill and be amazed by the truly blue French coast.

Castle Hill Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Nice Castle Hill View
The views from Castle Hill in #nicefrance are absolutely stunning. #solotravel #historicallandmarks #waterfall
Nice, the most beautiful Bay of Angels.
The most beautiful place in Nice is Angel Bay, and the best place to admire Angel Bay is Castle Hill. From the top, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Angel Bay. Of course, Castle Hill itself is also worth a visit. Castle Hill was established as a trading port by the Greeks thousands of years ago, which led to the establishment of Nice. Later, it was occupied by the Roman Empire and a magnificent military fortress was built, hence the name Castle Hill. Departing from the hotel in the morning, follow the beautiful Angel Bay to the east, and Castle Hill is located at the end of the famous Promenade des Anglais. The entrance to the mountain is actually a hotel, and you can climb up the stairs of the hotel building and follow the slightly steep mountain road to reach the top, or you can take the elevator directly to the top. The elevator is highly recommended. In the expensive South of France, this elevator is actually free. Except for a slight wait during peak hours, it is definitely the preferred way to climb the mountain. When you reach the top of the mountain, the original castle has been demolished, and only a few ruins of the fortress remain. The corridors, bathrooms, and churches of the Roman castle tell people about its past glory. The mountaintop has been designated as a park, with trees and a waterfall at the highest point. Most tourists gather at two observation decks. The western observation deck overlooks the entire old town of Nice and the azure Angel Bay. It is recommended to climb Castle Hill in the morning when the crescent-shaped Angel Bay extends to the horizon, and the sea emits a charming deep blue color in the light. This is the most beautiful Cote d'Azur. The eastern observation platform overlooks the entire Port Lympia, and the harbor is full of luxury yachts. The distant red lighthouse guides the yachts in and out of the harbor safely.
Castle Hill
#celebratewithtrip
Castle Hill in Nice dominates the city and divides the seaside part of Nice into two parts, the eastern part with the port and the western part with the old town of Nice.
Going up the hill, you can either take the 300 steps from the old town or take the Castle Hill Elevator ( Ascensur ) is free, bringing you almost to the top.
Once on top you can discover several hidden gems as well as cafes, gift shops, amazing views and children's favorite playgrounds.
You can explore what is left of the Chateau, see the ruins of an ancient Cathedral and enjoy Le Park du Chateau on the hill.
The 92 meters high hill offers views from all sides, and tourists take the most recognizable photos of Nice from here.
Beautiful waterfall in Nice 🇫🇷
#celebratewithtrip #france #nice #mustgo #beautiful
This place is an absolute must. It's a lot of climbing but definitely worth the climb and the sweat.
The waterfall is located in a landscape garden surrounding the 11th century citadel. An artificial waterfall with a garden was created in the first half Nineteenth century on the initiative of Karl Felix of the Savoy.
Once you are here you will be able to gaze at the view which covers the city of Nice. Here you will be able to see the old city centre, Hotel Le Negresco and even the airport in the far.
On the other side, you will also be able to see the Marina (Port Lympia) with all the yachts lined up waiting to set sail on their next voyage.

Fort du Mont Alban Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Stunning Nice 🇫🇷
#celebratewithtrip #nice #france #views #viewsworththetrip
Enjoy the views from Mount Alban & Fort
On this mountain you will be able to find the 16th century fort with the same name which protected the nearby areas as well as stunning views of Port Lympia and the nearby gulfs.
The fort was closed when we went there but that didn’t stop us from enjoying this spectacular view.
From there you can proceed through the forest. Walking down the hill you will notice that this area is a like a public garden with plenty of picnic benches and recreational game areas.
To be enjoyed on a sunny Sunday for sure! Amazing place :)
Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) fort du mont alban
Fort du Mont Alban is some 2 kilometers east of Nice. Built between 1557 and 1560, Fort du Mont Alban is one of the most exemplary French military architectural structures dating back to the 16th century.
The purpose of its construction was, for military nature. Fort du Mont Alban has survived in good condition, despite the World War Two.
At present, Fort du Mont Alban is one of the best sightings to visit as tourists can see the entire Nice at west. as such, this is definitely a sighting not to miss when you are visiting nice in future. it is an excellent day trip idea, for you to take nice photos.

Fort du Mont Alban, Nice, France 🇫🇷

Amazing views and a must go when in Nice. We visited this on our last day. Went there by public transport. The ticket is just 1.5 euros or you can get a day card with unlimited trips for 5 euros.
We climbed a steep hill to get to the Fort but at the end it was totally worth it. The Fort is rather impressive but it was closed when we were there, so we could only go around and admire the views.
Built by order of Emmanuel Philibert, Duke of Savoy, between 1557 and 1560, Fort du Mont Alban is one of the most exemplary French military architectural structures dating back to the 16th century.
The purpose of its construction was, of course, of military nature: to reinforce the defense line considerably debilitate as a result of the siege of Nice (in 1543). But what is striking about Fort du Mont Alban is it has survived, as said, in good condition, despite the fact it was considerably affected in World War Two.

#celebratewithtrip #nice #france
Nice has plenty of things to offer to prospective tourists. Everything from its amazing coastline to impressive architecture, Nice has something for everyone.
First and foremost we suggest you group your points strategically so you can cover them efficiently. As mentioned above, the old city centre can be covered within a day by foot however, the other parts may need you to buy public transport tickets.
Alternatively, you might consider a Hop-on, Hop-off Bus Tour to cover the main attractions.
